New Young Futures Hub announced for Cornwall

Young Futures Hub
Cornwall will receive a new Young Futures Hub, bringing together support and opportunities for young people.
The hub will provide young people aged 10–18, and up to 25 for those with SEND, with access to holistic support, including sport, creative activities, trusted youth workers, mental health services, skills training, employment opportunities and crime prevention services.
The expansion forms part of the Government’s National Youth Strategy, Youth Matters, launched by Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy in December 2025 and co-produced with 14,000 young people.
The strategy aims to rebuild youth services over the next decade, backed by over £500 million of government investment.

Jayne Kirkham, MP for Truro and Falmouth, welcomed the announcement:

“It’s a big win for Cornwall to be selected for a hub. The location hasn’t yet been decided, but the funding will come to Cornwall Council.

“Truro and Falmouth has a strong case. We have the largest population of 10 to 25-year-olds of any constituency in Cornwall, and organisations such as Zebs are in urgent need of a new home.

“A hub in Truro, Cornwall’s capital, or in Falmouth would be well connected and accessible for young people across the area.

“I’m looking forward to working with Cornwall Council and local youth organisations to make sure the new hub delivers for young people across Cornwall.”
