Truro business seminar – Heal a body, heal a business?

Community Together Meetings and Events has organised a seminar to help businesses of Truro. Dr Rainer Krell is flying into Cornwall from Spain via London to speak to Truro business owners, business influencers and organisations who would like a different perspective on managing and running their business or organisation.

Date: Tuesday 30th July – Limited availability.

9.15am Coffee & mingle
9.30am – 10.30am – Business seminar – “Heal a body, heal a business”(10.30am – 11am– Q & A )
Location: Truro BID’s meeting room on the 1st Floor next to their offices

We use medicines and therapies to help our bodies and minds but what about a business? What can we do or use? Listen to the insightful and thought provoking seminar given by Dr Rainer Krell.

Rainer’s approach likens businesses to organic entities that thrive based on the inputs they receive, such as the quality of people involved and the nurturing environment provided. He believes that just as individuals have the capacity to heal themselves, companies too can recover from difficulties and regain health. His philosophy can be summarized as: “Heal a body, heal a business.”

Thank you to Truro BID for their support and help to provide assistance to Truro Businesses in the City. If you are a Truro BID city centre business please cuss code TruroBID50 for a 50% discount.

£20 per ticket including coffee/tea and pastry.

🌱 How community growing supports wellbeingLast week while volunteering at Goonown Growers CIC, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kathy, who supports wellbeing and social prescribing through the community farm.In this short video, Kathy explains the importance of the Friday volunteer community day, where people from all walks of life come together to spend time outdoors, grow organic food, and reconnect with nature. For many, this isn’t just about gardening. It’s about community, belonging, and improving wellbeing.Social prescribing is becoming an increasingly important part of how we support people’s health - recognising that connection, purpose, fresh air, and meaningful activity can be just as powerful as traditional interventions. At Goonown Growers, that support happens naturally through service. Volunteers work together on the land, share food, talk, laugh, and help something good grow.It was inspiring to hear how these Friday sessions are helping people feel more connected - both to themselves and to the wider community.🌿 If you’d like to support this wonderful initiative, you can also buy their organic produce every Saturday at Lemon Quay Market in Truro. Last Friday was a lovely morning spent with the wonderful team at Goonown Growers 🌱I had the pleasure of visiting their community farm and chatting with Kathy about the beautiful work they are doing growing organic fruit and vegetables right here in St Agnes, Cornwall. Much of the produce you’ll find at their stall is grown on their community farm and sold fresh each week at the Lemon Street Market in Truro. It’s more than just a farm - it’s a community. They also run Friday volunteer day where people can come along, get their hands in the soil, and be part of something truly positive. We were blessed to spend some time helping out. Thank you Kathy for sharing your story of Goonown Growers and the inspiring work you are all doing. If you’re in Truro on a Saturday, do pop down and support them. 8.30am - 4pm Truro Farmers Market#GoonownGrowers#CommunityFarming#OrganicVegetables#SupportLocalCornwall#TruroFarmersMarket#StAgnesCornwall#GrowLocalEatLocal#CommunityTogether#SustainableLiving#VolunteerCornwall 🌱youtu.be/H8565JI52XU?si=L98U6KOSE2roYuxwPhoto: volunteer helping on Friday volunteer community day ...
