Truro Civic Awards – Friday 27th March 2026
An inspiring evening at the Truro Civic Awards 2026 ✨
Held at Truro Methodist Church, the event brought together an incredible group of people who quietly give so much to the Truro community – volunteers, leaders and local organisations making a real difference.
Beautifully compered by Bert Biscoe, each story was brought to life with warmth, humour and meaning.
A huge acknowledgement to Paul Caruana, whose six months of dedication ensured the evening ran seamlessly – a real commitment to community.
A standout moment for me was the recognition of Simon Cundy, marking 39 years of service as a Royal British Legion Standard Bearer – an extraordinary example of dedication and honour.
And also Chris Kemp, whose work with iSight Cornwall continues to bring connection and joy to visually impaired individuals – and reminds us how vital volunteers are.
A powerful reminder of what community truly looks like 💛
Reflection:
How are you showing up in your community?
