A UK-wide hot yoga franchise, Hotpod Yoga, is set to open its first studio in Cornwall, located in Truro, thanks to a £95,000 funding package from HSBC UK.

Hotpod Yoga Cornwall, part of the Hotpod Yoga franchise, will use the five-figure funding package to refurbish a former Truro College site, breathing new life into a well-known local building and bringing it back to community use. The new 1,600 sqft studio is designed to provide an inclusive environment, promoting wellness, strength and togetherness.

The studio’s main feature is the Hotpod, a heated, inflatable yoga studio that creates a calm, immersive experience and can accommodate up to 23 people. Additional features include a communal space for relaxation and socialising, a therapy room and changing facilities.

The studio is set to open in Spring 2026 and will be led by local mother and daughter duo, Dee and Keiann Vujkovic. The project aims to satisfy the need for high-quality indoor wellbeing spaces in Cornwall. Alongside daily Hotpod classes, the studio will run regular workshops and events designed to cater to different ability levels and needs, creating a welcoming community hub.

Furthering its community support, the studio is set to initially recruit between 8 and 10 local yoga teachers, with plans to expand its faculty as demand grows. The business’ turnover is expected to grow steadily in line with increased daily classes, memberships, workshops, events and therapy services.

Dee Vujkovic, Director at Hotpod Yoga Cornwall, said:“Throughout my career, I have seen the first-hand benefits that movement, breathwork and body awareness can have on wellbeing. We are extremely grateful to HSBC UK for its support, which is enabling us to create a space that prioritises both individual wellness and community connection. We hope that Hotpod Yoga Cornwall will bring people into Truro and be the first of many other community-led initiatives, helping to strengthen the local community from the inside out.”

Laura Anne Robertson, Enhanced Portfolio Manager at HSBC UK, added: “This project is the kind of initiative that stretches beyond business, bringing people together and helping to strengthen the local community. This is exactly what we hope HSBC UK funding to help achieve and that is what made supporting this vision so natural. We look forward to seeing a vibrant studio and a much-needed community hub open in Truro.”

Hotpod Yoga was established in 2013. The company now operates across 50 locations in the UK and is expanding its presence globally.
