Wellbeing at The Nook in Perranporth

ikigai-course-for-women-2024

Ikigai is a Japanese concept and literally translated is ‘Iki’ means to live and ‘gai’ reason, therefore reason to live. It’s a concept that encourages people to discover what truly matters to them and to live a life filled with purpose and joy

Course Overview: Join us for a transformative 5-week journey designed specifically for women who are ready to discover their Ikigai—their reason for being. This course will guide you in exploring your heart’s desires, uncovering your passions, and embracing your inner beauty. Together with like-minded women, you will find your voice, build self-worth, and discover the unique gifts you have to offer the world. Maximum of 8 in a class. If you are unable to attend all of the classes this is not essential as each session is stand alone although it is all tied up at the end and will help you get closer to your Ikigai!

Course Highlights:

  • Week 1: Awakening the Heart
Begin by tuning into your deepest desires and dreams. Through guided movement and reflective practices, you will reconnect with your true self, identifying what brings you joy and fulfillment.
  • Week 2: Embracing Inner Beauty
Discover the beauty that lies within you. Through art and creative expression, you’ll learn to appreciate and celebrate your unique qualities, developing a profound sense of self-love and acceptance.
  • Week 3: Discovering Your Passions
What sets your soul on fire? This week, we’ll explore your passions and how they align with your life purpose. Through music and sensory experiences, you’ll reconnect with what excites and motivates you.
  • Week 4: Unveiling Your Gifts
Each of us has unique talents and gifts that are waiting to be shared with the world. We’ll delve into identifying and cultivating these gifts, learning how to use them to enrich your life and the lives of others.
  • Week 5: Becoming Unstoppable
With a newfound understanding of your desires, beauty, passions, and gifts, this final week focuses on integrating all you’ve learned to become the woman you were meant to be. Through group sharing and connection, you’ll solidify your journey, ready to step into the world as a divine and unstoppable being.

Who Should Attend?  This course is perfect for any woman seeking deeper meaning in her life, a stronger sense of self-worth, and a desire to connect with her inner voice. No previous experience in art, movement, or music is necessary—just an open heart and mind.

What to Expect?  Expect a warm, supportive environment where you can express yourself freely and connect with others on a similar journey. Each session will include a blend of movement, art, touch, music, and creative exercises designed to help you love yourself more deeply, appreciate your unique gifts, and develop a powerful connection to your inner self.

Outcome: By the end of this course, you will have a greater understanding of who you are, what you desire, and what you are capable of achieving. You will leave with a renewed sense of purpose and the confidence to share your gifts with the world, truly embodying the divine and unstoppable being you are.

🌱 How community growing supports wellbeingLast week while volunteering at Goonown Growers CIC, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kathy, who supports wellbeing and social prescribing through the community farm.In this short video, Kathy explains the importance of the Friday volunteer community day, where people from all walks of life come together to spend time outdoors, grow organic food, and reconnect with nature. For many, this isn’t just about gardening. It’s about community, belonging, and improving wellbeing.Social prescribing is becoming an increasingly important part of how we support people’s health - recognising that connection, purpose, fresh air, and meaningful activity can be just as powerful as traditional interventions. At Goonown Growers, that support happens naturally through service. Volunteers work together on the land, share food, talk, laugh, and help something good grow.It was inspiring to hear how these Friday sessions are helping people feel more connected - both to themselves and to the wider community.🌿 If you’d like to support this wonderful initiative, you can also buy their organic produce every Saturday at Lemon Quay Market in Truro. Last Friday was a lovely morning spent with the wonderful team at Goonown Growers 🌱I had the pleasure of visiting their community farm and chatting with Kathy about the beautiful work they are doing growing organic fruit and vegetables right here in St Agnes, Cornwall. Much of the produce you’ll find at their stall is grown on their community farm and sold fresh each week at the Lemon Street Market in Truro. It’s more than just a farm - it’s a community. They also run Friday volunteer day where people can come along, get their hands in the soil, and be part of something truly positive. We were blessed to spend some time helping out. Thank you Kathy for sharing your story of Goonown Growers and the inspiring work you are all doing. If you’re in Truro on a Saturday, do pop down and support them. 8.30am - 4pm Truro Farmers Market#GoonownGrowers#CommunityFarming#OrganicVegetables#SupportLocalCornwall#TruroFarmersMarket#StAgnesCornwall#GrowLocalEatLocal#CommunityTogether#SustainableLiving#VolunteerCornwall 🌱youtu.be/H8565JI52XU?si=L98U6KOSE2roYuxwPhoto: volunteer helping on Friday volunteer community day ...
