๐ช๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ช๐ฒ๐๐ ๐จ๐ฝ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ are continuing improvement on Gas pipes in Truro are continuing work from January 2025 in the Kenwyn St area to ensure that gas can continue to flow to heat homes and power businesses in the area. Wales and West will be investing ยฃ130,000 to upgrade current metal pipes to new long lasting plastic pipes. Work will start on 2nd January on Kenwyn St and is expected to be finished by the beginning of May.
We appreciate that businesses will be concerned about the disruptions and the following required traffic management that will be in place while Wales and West undertake their work:
– Between 2 January and 20 January, Kenwyn St will be closed from the junction of Little Castle St to the junction of City Rd.
– Between 20 January and 20 February, Kenwyn St will be closed from the junction of Little Castle Street to the junction of Bosvigo Rd. City Rd will be closed from the junction of Kenwyn St to Calenick St.
– Between 3 February and 3 March:
Little Castle St will be closed from the junction of Kenwyn Street to the junction of River St.
Kenwyn St will be closed from Victoria Square to the junction of Little Castle St.
– Between 3 March and 7 April:
Victoria Square closed will be closed from the junction of Kenwyn St to the junction River St.
St Nicholas St will be closed from the junction of Victoria Square to the junction of King St.
River St will be closed from the junction of St Nicholas St to the junction of Castle St.
– Between 31 March and 2 May, Calenick St will be closed from junction of Kenwyn St to the junction to Moorfield car park.
– Between 14 April and 2 May, Infirmary Rd closed from the junction of Charles St to โLysnowethโ, with traffic lights on City Rd, Charles St and Calenick St.
Traffic management will be clearly signposted, and motorists are advised to allow extra travelling time. Dates and durations are subject to change due to engineering progress.
